One of my favorite things to do is plan a trip somewhere. I'm always going on Google Flights and imagining myself booking a flight somewhere and creating spreadsheets and itineraries for fun. I love day trips because you can plan them last minute and feel like a tourist in a new place! Also, they're way more cost efficient lol. I have driven through Havre De Grace before for campus retreats and remembered passing the beautiful lush water of the bay and have always wanted to go back to explore...so I did!
Getting there:
The road trip was about 1 hour. This was enough time to be able to listen to some song favorites and a podcast. I LOVE podcasts especially for road trips or audio books!! It was a beautiful, sunny day with warm air in early September.
First Stop: Coffee @ Concord Point Coffee Shop. This cafe was so cute! They had decorated for fall and had board games available that you could play while enjoying your drinks. My boyfriend and I both got fall flavored drinks. I made the mistake of getting a hot coffee as this trip was technically in the summer and still really hot out. LOL! It was worth it though to be able to pretend it was fall. Fall is my favorite season if you couldn't tell.

Walking Around:
The town was so cute! Storefronts were decorated for fall and there were plenty of boutiques, art shops, and vintage stores. It felt like a Gilmore Girl's small fall town situation. Since the town was historic, the interiors of each shop were so beautiful and unique! My boyfriend and I loved the exposed brick elements inside. One shop even had a vintage cash register on display! I loved how each shop was a small business and unique to the town. My boyfriend ended up getting a vintage journal to write in and I got some new clothing for the upcoming fall season!
I love supporting small artists so we went into one art store, and the staff there was the artists themselves and they were so friendly!

Food:
This town is known for their seafood, however my boyfriend got a burger and I got a Caesar salad and mac n cheese at MacGregor's restaurant. The food was really good! The restaurant had beautiful water views and fairy lights that would look so pretty at night!
Afterwards we enjoyed ice cream at the iconic Bomboy's. My boyfriend and I were so full from dinner but wanted to participate in enjoying this iconic place so we split a black raspberry flavor which was so delicious!

Last (and best) stop: Concord Point Park!
One of our last stops was Concord Point Park. This was such a walkable park with views of the water and plenty of benches to stop and sit on. There is also the famous Concord Point light house that is found here. It was a great way to walk off all of our food before heading home!

Summary
Overall, this road trip was so much fun, and I would definitely do it again! If you’re ever in the area, I’d recommend grabbing ice cream at Bomboy’s, taking a walk around Washington Street, and exploring Concord Point Park. These were some of my favorite stops and made the perfect little day trip!
